Abstract
In modern times, change is a way of life. The teaching industry requires graduates who posses good personality with professional etiquettes, good team work abilities and leadership skills, good communication skills with very good public relations, problem identification, solving ability and analytical skills. The teaching of all subjects at all levels of education should concentrate on the use of instructional materials in imparting these skills to students to face real dynamic world rather than memorization of concepts and theories. This can only be realized if appropriate instructional materials are provide and utilized by teachers in all subjects. This is because instructional materials facilitate the understanding of concepts that are taught to learners. The paper recommended that the federal government through the ministries of education, federal, state and local governments should see to the provision or availability of these necessary resources for teaching and learning and that teachers should ensure that available instructional materials are put into maximum use during instructional delivery.
